I have always been interested and intrigued by the interpersonal relationships and connections people have with one another. Whether it be within my own relationships and life experiences, or the witnessing of another. Growing up in what is considered to be a “broken home” it made it very apparent from an early age that not every person is meant to stay in your life forever, that not every relationship is perfect, no matter what the dynamic. With the use of clay I am able to incorporate this malleable, fickle nature during the creation process of each of my pieces, and at the same time am able to showcase the fragility of it as well.
